Meet the Team
We are a US-based small business, guided by engagements with academia and regulatory bodies and grounded on continuous assessment of user needs. We have comprehensively developed all aspects of the ATLAS programs for reliable and self-managed hearing healthcare.

Shayan Gupta
CEO & Engineer
​
As CEO, Shayan is responsible for overseeing product roadmap and development, operations, and decision making and leads the software development. Shayan has been guiding Audition Technology since founding the company in 2018. His BS/MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with specialized coursework and research in signal processing, as well as BS in Biomedical Engineering provides expertise for hardware and software development. Experience with Audition Technology as well as coursework and program participation as part of Carnegie Mellon’s Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship inform his business strategy role.

Jonathan Hodgkins
Mechanical Design Engineer
​
Jon leads the external and internal mechanical designs with attention to user needs as well as manufacturability. Jon has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and has spent his career in the product development space working for design consultancies such as Design Continuum, Overwatch and Insight. Jon formed Buoy Design which specializes in assisting start-ups with full service product design across a wide range of consumer and medical products.
Elora Gupta
Regulatory & Safety Officer

As a Regulatory Officer, Elora is responsible for alignment with FDA regulations and requirements and has led several FDA meetings related to the ATLAS OTC program. As the Safety Officer, Elora’s focus is on Hearing Conservation that extends to overall safety and leads company engagement in OSHA’s Safe and Sound and other national and regional programs. Elora has spent several decades in the drug and medical device industries. She has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Ohio State University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Chicago, School of Medicine. She has certifications in Occupational Hearing Conservation and Advanced Safety from OSHA Training Institute.
Craig Haber
Finance

Craig co-leads the financial strategy for the company. He is a partner and investment advisor at Brunswick Wealth Management. He holds his securities registrations through Cetera Financial Group. Craig graduated with a BS with a concentration in Finance from West Chester University.
Richard Laskin
Finance
​
Richard co-leads the financial strategy for the company. He is a financial advisor with over 30 years of experience in the industry and is on the advisory team at Cetera Financial Group. He has a BS in Finance from Seton Hall University.
Sunjeev Kale
Growth & Operations
​
Sunjeev is responsible for business development and commercialization strategies. With a background in engineering, he focuses on product growth and on solutions in supply chains and manufacturing operations. He utilizes his technical skills in optimization, planning, and logistics management. Sunjeev has a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and is an MBA candidate at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Nicole Rucker
Growth & Operations

As the Project Manager for the Audition Technology Team, Nicole ensures that the projects run smoothly from start to finish by coordinating resources, managing timelines, and maintaining effective communication throughout the teams. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business from the University of Maryland and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. Bringing over ten years of experience in Project Management in industries such as construction, IT, nonprofit, and marketing to Audition Technology means there is experience behind our project management.
Sean Bukich
Lead iOS developer

Sean leads App development to enable self-care . He is an experienced iOS engineer specializing in building apps for people with disabilities. He has extensive knowledge of Bluetooth and networking technologies, allowing him to create user-centric applications that are both accessible and inclusive. Sean has a BS from Arizona State University with certification from California Institute for Applied Technology.
Nisha Nadkarni
User Interface & Graphics

Nisha works on graphic design with the objective to optimize the user experience and eTool learning. Nisha has worked several years as a graphics designer for several companies and holds a BS in Visualization, with a minor in Communications, from Texas A&M University.
Caroline Hutchison
User Outreach
​
Caroline creates social media and promotional presentations to effectively and accurately communicate product information. Caroline started her career in the IT Government sector and found her niche in online creative communications. social coaching and training.
Shawn Kelly
Advisor
​
Shawn is an advisor on the technical aspects of the products particularly the electrical and circuit design. Shawn has broad experience in medical product development and is associated with several medical device startups. He is also a Senior Systems Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University and holds BS, MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Elry Cramer
Manufacturing Advisor

Elry advises on sourcing prototypes to production as well as providing manufacturing advice and acting as a local contact for the manufacturer. Elry is a Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative (CPMR) and assists the growth of startups by recommending the best manufacturing processes, design for manufacturing that are scalable and value engineering. Elry graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, has worked in the US Navy specializing in computers and electronics and has been owner of Buchanan sales and management company.
Jeff Boyatt
Occupational Safety Advisor

Jeff advises the occupational hearing conservation program and products. He has over 40 years in construction, mining, and manufacturing industries developing safety and environmental programs and cultures that are based on (zero) “0” incidents, (zero) “0” violations, and audit ready. Jeff was an authorized OSHA trainer and has several certifications including lean manufacturing, continuous Improvement, predictive and preventive maintenance. Jeff has a degree in Environmental Health Sciences with a Waste Management emphasis from Roane State Community College.
